If you were still on the fence about Apple Music, this new discount might convince you the service is right for you. Apple has announced a 50 per cent discount for students on Individual subscription plans. That means you can access the millions of music tracks, and the swathe of exclusives Apple has managed to sign, for £4.99 a month. If you’re a student at a qualifying school (eg. University), you will be able to enjoy the discounted service for a total of four years.
Spotify runs a similar scheme that offers students the same 50 per cent discount on Premium subscription plans. Apple Music confirms your student status with UNiDAYS – a leading online hub for higher education students. But don’t panic if you’ve already signed up to Apple Music, you can apply the new discount to an existing account via the Membership Page. To do this on an iPhone, simply load-up the Music app and tap the small, round profile icon in the upper-left corner.
Tap View Apple ID, then go to Subscriptions > Manage.
