Design
The iPhone 6c will likely replace the 5s in the lineup, as it will have 4-inch display. Similar to the iPod touches, the iPhone 6c will have an aluminum backing (not 7000 series). This is unlike the 5c, which had a plastic backing, but the 6c will most likely come in the same colors as its predecessor (yellow, green, blue, pink and white). However, some of the tones (like blue) will probably be a bit darker, like the color palate transformation from the iPod touch 5th generation to the 6th generation. The body of the phone will be slimmer than the previous 4-inch model, but it will probably not beat the extraordinary thinness of the iPod touches. The headphone jack will likely remain, unlike the 7 and 7 Plus, as well as the lightning connector. The one design feature the 6c will share with the iPhone 6/6s is a curved-edge glass display. Other than that, the overall design will resemble the 5s.
Power
Unfortunately, a smaller size means less power. The iPhone 6c will not have the A10 processor that the 7 and 7 Plus will be receiving, but an A9 chip that is currently used in the 6s and 6s Plus. It will only have 1GB of RAM, but a 4 inch display doesn't need any more RAM than that to be a fully-functional phone. The 6c will also lack 3D touch, the pressure sensitive technology on the 6s and 6s Plus (which is a bit of a gimmick, but will become more useful in iOS 10). Even the camera won't be top-notch; it will be identical to the 5s, which means 8MP, no Live Photos, and no deep-trench isolation. And, if you're concerned, the 6c will certainly have Touch ID.
Overview: Release Date, Price
Although the iPhone 5c was meant as a cheaper smartphone alternative ($100 starting price), the iPhone 6c is expected to go for around $400-$500. It will come in a variety of colors, have an aluminum backing, Touch ID, a 4-inch display, and power nearly equivalent to the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Surprisingly, the 6c is expected to be released in February 2016, which is quite unlike Apple, but there will already be two phones launching beside each other in September (iPhone 7, 7 Plus).
