It's nothing new for Apple to give customers cash for their old iPhones. The firm's "Reuse and Recycling" program has been available for a while, allowing customers to get money towards a new device. Sadly, if your phone had taken a fall to the floor Apple weren't so keen to take it off your hands. Things have now changed and Apple's new rules mean smashed phones can be accepted on the cash back scheme. Credit depends on the storage options and model and you'll need to visit Apple's website to discover how much your phone is worth. Daily Star Online ran a quick test and found Apple will give you £50 cash for an iPhone 5s with a broken screen – you'll get £150 for a phone with a perfect display. Sadly, it does appear there is a limit to how much punishment your phone has been through. Apple will accept most damaged phones but if it's been been driven over by a lorry and dropped in a swimming pool you might not be so lucky. The updated Reuse and Recycling program is believed to be a way to encourage customers to upgrade to the latest iPhone hardware.
